Mr Eazi Is The First African Artiste Featured On Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’
— Apple Music (@AppleMusic) July 26, 2017
The first artiste featured on the series was 24-year-old rapper and singer from Atlanta, 6lack (“Prblms”); followed by 20-year-old Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid (“Don’t Kill My Vibe”) in May; and 19-year-old r ‘n’ b singer Khalid (“Location”) in June.
Mr Eazi just joined that really impressive list for the month of July – making him the first African artiste to be featured. With the growing global recognition of other Nigerian artistes like Wizkid, Davido and Tekno, it’s not surprising that the music industry is looking here for its next big star.
The “Skintight” singer also appeared on the Emmy-winning American talk show, Late Late Show with James Corden, last night to perform a Fela-inspired medley of two of his biggest songs, “In The Morning” and “Leg Over”.
